THE COMPARISON OF THE COW MILKING AND HOLDING CONDITIONS IN “SPRŪŽEVA M” LTD OF REZEKNE REGION

Milk production is one of the main sectors of agricultural production. In recent years, milk production has intensified and large dairy farms are emerging. New technologies are entering the industry, and the conditions for keeping and milking cows are changing more and more. The study compares two dairy cow farms in “Sprūževa M” Ltd. of Rēzekne region: one has a milking parlor carousel from company GEA, and the other has nine milking robots from enterprise DeLaval. The paper compares the conditions of keeping and milking cows, studies the consumption of labor resources and the costs of milk production
